On a Latin American wind farm, Clir identified a power curve shift in two turbines, resulting in a large degradation in turbine performance. Clir reviewed the impacted turbines’ control parameters, along with peer-to-peer performance, and discovered a shift in the blade pitch control curve.

The analysis led to:

• Identification of shift in power curve and blade pitch curve in two turbines.

• Control parameter updates to return turbines to optimal performance.

• Estimated annual energy production gain of 4,200 MWh across two turbines.
